Approach
Christie’s approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, strength-based, and practical. She uses evidence-based tools while prioritizing trust and creating a therapeutic relationship where clients can work toward healing at a pace that feels safe and respectful.
Christie is trained in a variety of therapies, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and she is TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) certified. This allows her to draw from multiple evidence-based approaches. based on each client’s individual needs.
During the first appointment, Christie focuses on understanding what brings each client to therapy, the challenges they are experiencing, their goals, and how they are currently coping. From there, she works collaboratively with clients to determine an effective treatment plan and next steps.

Christie Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Licensed Master Addiction Counselor, and multi-state licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma recovery. Based in New Jersey, Christie works with clients both virtually and in person and provides clinical supervision and addiction counseling in Kansas.
Christie is dedicated to helping individuals and families manage the unique pressures that come with high-responsibility and high-stress roles. Her work frequently includes first responders, military service members and veterans, medical and mental health professionals, and their families. She understands that trauma can extend beyond the individual, affecting relationships, daily functioning, and the entire family system.

A New Jersey native, Christie enjoys living near the ocean. She is also proud to serve on the Mercury Critical Incident Response Team in New Jersey, extending her commitment to supporting individuals impacted by critical incidents beyond the therapy office.
