Summer Rhodes is a dynamic professional with a diverse background. As a graduate of FHSU with a Master of Social Work, she brings a unique blend of compassion and expertise to her role as an Engineer for the Dodge City Fire Department. Being a fire fighter / EMT gives her true insight into the rewards and challenges of being a first responder. As the lead for the Southwest Kansas Dodge City 10-33 Foundation, she spearheads initiatives to support first responders, military personnel, and community members in times of need. Summer extends her commitment beyond her professional obligations, actively volunteering in search and rescue missions, and utilizing her expertise as a certified diver to assist those in need. Alongside her faithful companion, Bodacious, they embody the profound bond between humans and animals. Over the past eleven years, Summer and Bo have dedicated countless hours to traveling the country after disasters have struck. Presently, they focus on animal-assisted therapy enriching well-being and nurturing connections between humans and animals through interactive programs in schools, elder care facilities, and beyond. Summer has a passion for service and leadership. She is reminded daily through compassion and action, we can truly change lives for the better. Summer sees clients in Dodge City and via telehealth.

Mona Butler is a licensed professional counselor who graduated from FHSU with a Master of Social Work. She offers proficiency and experience competent with positive outcomes in the work field. She has accumulated valuable hands-on experience mentoring young teenagers and families who struggle with mental illness, sexual abuse and loss. She also has a background in working with addictions. She brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work. She approaches counseling with deep empathy and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can flourish.

Mona is also committed to making a difference in the lives of those in need in other ways as she has been actively involved in volunteering in disaster and has filled positions on numerous non-profit organizations. She is actively involved in the Southwest Kansas- Dodge City 10-33 Foundation focusing on unique stresses of first responders and the toll crisis’ takes on individuals and families.

Mona sees the importance of individuals recognizing their inherent value, striving to help them cultivate a sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion focusing on their strengths and positive qualities while finding the healing they need.
